Each year in the last week of June, moms and their kids take the bus north to take part in an amazing week of outdoor adventure and fun. This experience offers these families the unique opportunity of getting out of the city to enjoy a week together of new adventure, away from the stresses they face on a daily basis. It allows families to try many new activities including, swimming, canoeing, fishing, and making crafts, while forming long lasting friendships. Camp Cucumber is a non-profit organization staffed entirely by our tireless volunteers and funded by private donations.

A typical day at Camp begins with all staff, kids and moms coming together for breakfast and flag raising. Throughout the day, we break out into smaller groups for programming, allowing the moms to participate in separate activities from their kids, who are grouped with children their age for programming. We finish off the day with an exciting all camp game each night, ranging from a regatta to a dance party on the beach. Each day at camp is filled with excitement. The energy our volunteers bring to Camp every day, make it a truly life changing experience for the moms and kids.

This year Camp Cucumber is June 24-30 and is located approximately 2.5 hours from Toronto.
