December 18th, 2011

An abstract image of a blue Christmas tree with swirling snowflakes.Ah the holidays. I don’t know about you, but I get completely swept up in everything that is holiday cheer. Skating on outdoors rinks – pausing only to get a tasty (if not watery) vending-machine hot chocolate, passing by homes lit up with lights and tacky decorations, walking into warm coffee shops and smacked with smells of cinnamon and peppermint. I love it all. But you know what I think is the best part about the holidays? The giving. Whether it be giving an awesome gift that you’ve planned for ages, or giving a fluffy toy to a toy drive, or giving your time to a worthy organization in need.

It’s the season where you can share the love and share how grateful you are for everything you have – regardless of what you celebrate. And here at Getinvolved.ca, we understand that you want to give back (either through donations or volunteering) but that you don’t have a lot time this busy season. So, I’ve put together a list of 25 fun things you can do over the next 25 days that will help you give back in 30 minutes or less. Sometimes, it’s as easy as picking up a gift for that hard to buy pal on your list.

Do one, or do them all – and I promise you that warm feeling you get inside from giving back, will be a hundred times better then that overpriced peppermint latte.
