BIG Green Non-profit startup

We will be registered as a Non-profit by the end of 2009.
We have big environmental, sustainable, green and energy producing ideas, we have had a good respose from companies and organizations we have contacted. Each company is very helpful , answers all our questions and supply us with relevant info. The best way I can describe our non-profit is we want to be the Green equivalent of the Ontario Science Centre - people will be able to touch, feel, meet, play and learn, totally inclusive, income producing (re-invested in the community or other 'Green' project). The only thing we would need from the city (Toronto) is a drinking water supply, everything else we will take care of, environmentally.
We need help and guidance because we don't know what we don't know.
I can talk for hours about 'Green' topics, so if you would like more infomation please feel free to contact me with any questions,
Thank you in advance.
Chris

Hi Chris,
I have a degree in Environmental Science and a lot of research experience. I really like your idea and am curious to learn more about it. So let me know how I can help!

Thank you

Hi Amar,
Thank you for responding. We are just waiting for the paperwork to be processed and we will be aggressively searching for many and varied grant & funding sources. We are also going to have our 1-800 phone #, web, email and a blog live - before Christmas.

Toronto is a big city and many people here are unsure of what 'green' is, and how easy it is to become 'green' and possibly save lots and lots of money. Therefore we want to be in Toronto, and accessible to as many people as possible, by being close to a subway, TTC, GO station, a highway, we want to be the destination location for all 'green' events.

Our Green Dream when completed 'Green Reality" would allow people to visit our meeting place without fear of restrictions or obsticles - accessibility, non-toxic, non-restrictive, we will also be contacting other non-profits for guidance ie; CNIB, Association for the Deaf, Heart & Lung Association etc, etc.

What we need first......

We need vacant land accessible to public transportation preferably several bus routes, GO trains &/or buses, and a highway - so not in the downtown core. If vacant land is not available, but a Toronto school property is, we could work with that scenerio too.

The land is the most important after registration of the Non-profit/Charity.
