Advocacy, PR, Fundraising (event planning) Ideally looking for volunteer assignment involving advocacy, PR, and/or fundraising (event planning). Interested in empowering the less fortunate.

Have following skills to offer (plus some achievements) :

Verbal and written communication skills - published author on internet and other publications

Organizational and leadership skills - established comedy troupe for community, established support groups for obsessive compulsive disorder sufferers (OCD) and their families

PR - dealt with media, working as liaison for OCD support groups, other public speaking engagements

Facilitation skills - guided operational meetings for OCD groups, getting input from members as well as guided other community meetings

Though I chose the category "Social Services and Social Justice", I'm also interested in other categories and my skills would work well in them especially "Arts and Culture" and "Health and Wellness"

Available Volunteer I can help with:

crisis counselling, translation services, computer documents for individuals requiring assistance to fill out forms, typing documents for the organizaion if there is a volunteer shortage or manpower shortage

I have alot of background personal experience with surviving violence and I am willing to help individuals needing my spare to provide emotional support. I speak and write several languages specifically Italian and I have worked in different areas with the judicial system. I can aid individuals in the right direction. I wouldn't mind participating in fundraising as well. Most of all I have been in the same situation, I am a survivor and I will help those in need as previously stated.
to the best of my ability. I have saved lives of youths and have been recongized for this at work.
