Punjabi Speaking Volunteer Coordinator The Canadian Diabetes Association is looking for a Punjabi speaking volunteer coordinator for a special educational event for the South Asian Community in Abbotsford on Saturday, March 27th, 2010. Learn or practice the skills of volunteer management by assisting with 30 Punjabi speaking volunteers. Help with recruitment, phone interviews and matching volunteers to the volunteer roles. On the day assist with the Volunteer Orientation and supervising the volunteers. Training and full support will be given.

Volunteer Tutors Volunteer tutors required in the Abbotsford area to work with adult learners to help improve reading, writing, and/or math skills.

Landscaper Needed at Yoga Retreat Centre Help to create, implement and maintain a landscape vision for the Salt Spring Centre of Yoga.
Take this opportunity to experience life in a harmonious spiritual community set on spectacular Salt Spring Island, BC.

Tasks Include:
- Helping to create, implement and maintain a landscape vision for the Centre (including quite spots for meditating or contemplating)
- beautifying and maintaining grounds, pruning, tree planting, irrigation and weeding

Requirements:
- Commitment through to the fall (October 31st 2010)
- Proven landscaping skills
- Ability to envision a landscaping design plan for the Centre, including experience drafting a plan and budgeting
- Interest in living in intentional community

Remunerations:
- This is an unpaid position
- Full room & board included (delicious, organic, vegetarian meals)
- Attend free yoga asana, meditation, kirtan/satsang and yoga philosophy sessions

Speakers. I wonder if any body would be interested in giving a talk during the fund raising even to be heald on February 24 at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education about reducing poverty in Africa among the rural people. Those whose life depend on agriculture for a livelyhood.
