Dorothy Creaser
74-year old Volunteer extraordinaire
DOROTHY CREASER, 74, is a former social worker and life long volunteer. Despite having to use a scooter to get around, she still volunteers three to five days a week. Her positive approach won her a place at Bridgepoint Health as a volunteer facilitator for those dealing with chronic pain. At Volunteer Toronto she coaches empty nesters on ways to give back and her tenacity and problem-solving talents landed her on the TTC’s Advisory Council on Accessible Transportation. As Dorothy herself puts it: “I am no daytime television person, I am no couch potato, I like to be a problem solver.”
