Jeremy Rhodes: Elephant Thoughts
Teacher created innovative NFP that is educating at risk communities
Known affectionately as "Dr. Germ" by his students, JEREMY RHODES is the creator of Elephant Thoughts, an educational not-for-profit, based out of Collingwood, Ontario. Rhodes funds all of his charitable works by offering extracurricular science and technology programs to students that can afford it. He uses his profits to pay for educational programs in at-risk communities here and abroad. Rhodes spends most of his time where he sees the greatest need, in remote communities in Northern Canada and in South East Asia. He's enlisted teachers from across Ontario to help with his work and has managed to provide enriched learning experiences for more than 100 First Nation communities as well as in more than 50 at risk schools in Ontario.
