Tom Roedding: Frankland Public School
Teacher gets everyone involved in creating the perfect musical
190 of the 220 students at Frankland Public School along with 15 parents and 7 teachers together contributed, 4500 hours in pursuit of creating the perfect musical. And one man led the way. This is the amazing story of music teacher, TOM ROEDDING who brought together the resources of his school, his fellow teachers, his students and their parents to put on a two-hour musical extravaganza. Frankland's two choirs with over 120 kids, including over 30 dancers, all came together to create a professional production complete with 12 fully choreographed numbers, sound, lighting, props and ornate costumes. Former TDSB Music Director Mark Bell calls the accomplishment "nothing short of astonishing!" demonstrating that with commitment and an inspired vision - anything is possible.
