What we can offer other members and organizations:

Training or Resources

When you volunteer your time as a kids.now coach-mentor, you become a positive influence during a critical developmental period in a child's life. But as a coach-mentor you'll improve your own leadership abilities and communications skills too! You'll be fully trained by kids.now, and you'll receive a program manual to lead you through each session.

Many kids.now coaches confirm that they apply the skills they developed through the program in their daily lives.

What we might need from other members and organizations:

how kids.now gets involved

Our mission is to coach kids to make positive choices.

Created in 1999 by a Canadian educator who saw a need to complement the existing school curriculum with life skills development, the kids.now program has made a meaningful, lasting difference in the lives of thousands of Canadian kids. The kids.now program features an educator-endorsed curriculum, which includes games, activities and group discussions that teach leadership, goal-setting, effective communications, positive conflict resolution, and other valuable life-success skills.

Here's what others have to say about the program:

"The kids.now program made me feel positive about myself, so I could do things with confidence. I also learned how to co-operate and solve problems better with others."
- past participant

"Because the kids.now program develops confidence and character by way of emotional intelligence training, the children are better able to resist bullying and peer pressure and more likely to follow through on their own goals, including helping others, which is explicitly encouraged. I believe that this program plants the seed for more imaginative and empathetic responses to the conflicts and other stressful situations that our students are facing and will face in the future."
- school champion

"My child is more assertive since being in the kids.now program; he is not afraid to try new things. I notice a big improvement in his self-confidence. He loved the program and feels more self-assured than ever."
- parent of a past kids.now participant

"kids.now shook my world for the better. It's a venue for people like me, who want to inspire our youth into a world of possibilities."
- coach-mentor
