CARD is a fully dedicated therapeutic horseback riding centre in Toronto. CARD is 100% self-funded through grants, sponsorship, donation and fundraising events. Every year, CARD delivers a comprehensive equine-based therapy program to more than 500 children and adults with disabilities across the GTA. The program delivers with the support of more than 350 volunteers, who help in class, in the facility, and at fundraising events.
- We are always looking for: Volunteers to help with the program and with special events (experience with horses NOT a requirement!)
- Program and event sponsors
- In-kind donations for silent auctions and fundraising initiatives

about CARD - Community Association for Riding for the Disabled:

CARD is a registered non-profit organization (CRA #118870138 RR0001) whose mission is to improve the lives of children and adults with disabilities through quality therapeutic riding programs. For more than 40 years, CARD�??s therapeutic riding programs have had a direct and positive impact on the lives of thousands of children and adults with disabilities. Founded in 1969, CARD (the Community Association for Riding for the Disabled) was the first therapeutic riding centre in Canada. Today, CARD works with specially trained physiotherapists, equine experts, 19 therapy horses and more than 350 volunteers to help more than 500 children and adults with disabilities a year gain greater physical, cognitive, psychological and social skills. CARD is 100% self-funded through public grants, private donation and fundraising events.

The CARD program runs with the support of more than 350 volunteers each year - volunteers who contribute up to 300,000 hours to support children and adults with disabilities. CARD gives back to riders and volunteers, providing training programs to help riders with disabilities learn life skills in stable management and farm management.

how you can get involved with CARD - Community Association for Riding for the Disabled

Your contribution will have a direct and positive impact on the future of a child or adult with disability.

1. Volunteer. If you or your children over the age of 13 would like to make a positive contribution, we need help in class, in our offices, at events, and in the barn!
2. Donate. Make an online instant donation through . If you would prefer to contact us directly to discuss a donation, please call 416-667-8600 or email card.info@sympatico.ca.
3. Fundraise. Help us raise the monies we need to fund CARD's therapeutic riding programs by hosting a fundraising dinner party, a garage sale, a toonie drive, a hockey tournament, golf tournament, employer matching program, bowling night, pampered chef party, or other event in support of CARD. The only limit is your imagination!
4. Sponsor. CARD is actively seeking corporate sponsors and partners to support events and program sessions, or to host third party events on CARD's behalf.
5. Participate. Attend an event or come for a tour - and tell the world the great story CARD has to share.
