I am a Child & Family Clinician who specializes in Fetal Alchol Spectrum Disorder. I am a certified trainer, mentor, and consultant. I want everyone to know what FASD is; what the primary and secondary disabilities associated with it are, and how because it is an organic brain disorder, it is life-long and often debilitating. I would like to be a source of support, inspiration and knowledge and skills on how to work with individuals affected by FASD and their families and the community which need to sustain them. A friend of mine, says that FASD stands for "Fabulous Amazing Souls Defined" and I believe that, but people need to understand their disorder and recognize them for the strengths that they bring.
In need of: Volunteers, Financing or Grants, Skills or Expertise, Equipment or Materials
I am looking for any individual who is interested and passionate about learning more about FASD, about spreading our message of prevention and about letting everyone know what it is and how it can be eradicated. The primary and secondary disabilities associated with this disorder can be prominent and life long, if the necessary supports are not provided. I am looking for individuals who can help me in my cause.
