About Our Organization
WOTCH Community Mental Health Services is dedicated to serving adults in South Western Ontario who live with serious mental illness. WOTCH helps individuals to achieve their goals and to live independently within the community. Our vision is a community where all are offered respect, dignity, and hope for recovery!
Services and supports offered by WOTCH include individualized rehabilitation and recovery plans, supportive housing, employment resources, sports and physical recreation programming, health and wellness education, clinical services, family support, and My Sisters’ Place transitional support centre for at-risk women.
The Queens Avenue Bistro is the heart of the WOTCH Centre! The Bistro is a safe and inviting place for participants and visitors to socialize and visit between appointments and activities. We sell hot and cold beverages and snacks. Currently, the Bistro is open Sunday to Friday from 11:30AM till 4:30PM.
The Bistro Volunteer is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Queens Avenue Bistro. As such, the volunteer should be familiar with money handling procedures and customer service. In addition, volunteers may also be responsible for administrative duties and the purchasing of supplies. We are looking for a friendly and approachable individual who is happy to assist others! The hours are flexible and can be determined by the individual’s schedule.
Volunteers must obtain a Police Vulnerable Sector Check.
