ACCESS is a non-profit organization focused on providing education opportunities to youth in developing countries, while raising awareness and inspiring youth locally.
The Online Communications Manager (OCM) role will cover 5 important aspects:
- INTERNAL CONNECTIONS: Coordinating with ACCESS members to gather up-to-date information for online sharing
- SOCIAL MEDIA CONNECTIONS: Establishing new contacts via Twitter, Facebook, etc. as well as directing traffic to ACCESS related pages (website, Twitter and/or Facebook page, etc.)
- SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT: Maintaining the Twitter and Facebook pages by tweeting and retweeting as well as liking and posting respectively
- WEBSITE MANAGEMENT: Overseeing content on the ACCESS website (accesscharity.ca and other ACCESS sites such as youthmakingadifference.ca). The OCM will also be expected to notify the team of any website content updates that should be addressed, and brainstorm ways to improve the site overall
- PRESS RELEASES & ANNOUNCEMENTS: Promoting ACCESS’ press releases and news announcements via social media
Please keep in mind that duties will include, but are not limited to what is mentioned above.
KEY STRENGTHS:
- Well versed with social media and website management
- Core understanding of online promotions
- Excellent written communication skills
- Displays interest in graphic design
EDUCATION LEVEL:
-High school Diploma
