Volunteer Opportunity

Operations Manager SSCOPE Inc. is presently in need of a volunteer, or a volunteer with honourarium Operations Manager. This may be particular interest to those with a business background now retired or semi-retired. Working with the General Manager/Executive Director,and within the overall mandate of creating meaningful employment for all our employee members with mental health issues, this individual will fully lead and manage all the overall operations of SSCOPE, in particular job planning, job estimating and quotes, job and staff scheduling and other administrative functions such as payroll, worker booking and scheduling, etc, with the support of office staff and volunteers. This person will be the liason with all operations staff for the Gen. Mgr and SSCOPE Board and lead recruitment and employee reviews as necessary. SSCOPE is a non profit supporting mental health through casual and part time employment and presently operates social enterprises in lawn care, snow removal, moving and deliveries, cleaning, vending and media sales online, with expansion plans. Approximately 15 hours per week or more (flexible) This may become a part-time staff paid position after 3 months.
