Mind, Body and Soul Self-Help Support Centre is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals who are affected by mental health issues.
Our programs are designed to be empowering as we encourage a self-directed and proactive approach to mental health.
Mind, Body and Soul helps by using a unique integration of social support programs, education, physical fitness, and nutritional counseling. Mind, Body and Soul is committed to supporting individuals in realizing their potential, by creating meaningful volunteer opportunities intended to restore confidence, a sense of belonging and purpose. Volunteering at our centre will build self esteem, allow you to learn new skills or enhance your current skills that will be transferable in life and work.
Bring new experiences and knowledge to your life. Our centre is a place where you can teach others, facilitate new and exciting programs, meet great people and contribute to the community in a positive healthy way.
It may be a perfect opportunity for you to make new friends and enhance your professional network.
We will provide training, if necessary, in communication and facilitation skills, computer technologies (Email and Internet, CRM, graphic suites, office applications), and time management.
We will provide a reference letter providing satisfactory performance.
Our most active volunteers will be rewarded by the end of the year.
How else can you help?
We require educators (particularly guest speakers for our Thursday night program), facilitators, instructors, and program coordinators for the following:
Health and Fitness
Support groups for men and women
We also need volunteers for administrative support, data input, and research.
