About Us
The TPPGTA`s vision is to cultivate and harvest a continually growing collective wisdom. We believe this wisdom comes from across all disciplines, from an accurate history and engaging everyone especially our elders. We plan to transform the city from a food dessert to a thriving agricultural centre project by project. We will create links between the community organizations, community members and the communities.
Our goal is to facilitate programming in the GTA to educate and train people to understand and use permaculture. Through our Permablitz program we share the practices and methods we have used for years right here in the GTA. Our Conference happens twice a year and celebrates our successes and keeps us interconnected to continually harness the collective energy it takes to make the changes we want to see.
In everything that we do, we apply permaculture.
This Hub will give individuals the ability to design their own environments and build increasingly self-sufficient human settlements — ones that reduce our reliance on industrial systems of production and distribution and that are identified as fundamentally and systematically destroying the Earth's ecosystems.
How To Get Involved With Us
Do you want to be part of our 'Blitz' team? Learn the basic skills you'll need to start converting gardens and outer spaces utilizing the new design tools of permaculture - an approach to designing human settlements and agricultural systems which mimic nature. Email us for more info at tppgta@gmail.com
Attend a Volunteer Information Session to learn about all the ways you can engage and connect with TPPGTA.
