Audrey Guth: Nanny Angel Network

Cancer survivor Audrey noticed a lack of assistance for mothers with the disease which resulted in the creation of the Nanny Angel Network.

On August 17th, 2008, Audrey Guth was diagnosed with breast cancer. During her hospital stay she met many young mothers who struggled to find childcare while undergoing cancer treatment. Audrey was shocked by the numbers: over 2,000 women under 40 years old are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in Canada - and there is currently no form of childcare built into our healthcare system. With funding from Rethink Breast Cancer, Audrey established the Nanny Angel Network - a unique program where volunteer nannies offer temporary relief childcare for mothers with breast cancer.
