What do you want the whole world to know? Everyone has the freedom of choice to determine what digital footprints they create. The problem is too many are not active in taking responsibility for their privacy. And with most social networking sites being public by default, it is all too easy for public safety to be comepromised. Social networking sites need to become proactive, rather than reactive about public safety by embeding privacy as the default. And the users of these sites must challenge them to do so.
